What should I wear for a village walk?
Comfortable cotton clothing and walking shoes or sandals are recommended. Kerala is a conservative region, so modest dress (covering shoulders and knees) is appreciated when visiting local homes or temples.
Are the canoe rides safe for non-swimmers?
Yes, all our country boat and canoe rides are conducted by expert local boatmen. Life jackets are provided for your safety, and the water in the canals is usually calm and shallow.
Can activities be booked separately?
Absolutely. You don't need to stay on a houseboat to book our activities. Many guests visiting Alleppey for a day trip choose our Shikkara or village tours.
